CMRC Vet National and Fall series motocross rescheduled – Walton Raceway closing the south section of the national track for the balance of the season.

Walton Raceway August 25, 2011 – The September 10-11 CMRC Vet National and Fall series motocross is being rescheduled to a date to be announced. This will be late September or in October subject to weather conditions. This will be run on a modified track utilizing the north sections of the National track and adjoining fields.  Further information will be issued on the email list news.motocrosscanada.ca, www.facebook.com/WaltonRaceway , www.waltonraceway.ca , www.twitter.com/WaltonRaceway and/or www.cmrcracing.com as it becomes available.

The facility suffered extensive damage to the track, the pits, access roads and other infrastructure. This was incurred during the end of the TransCan GNC as a side effect of the nearby tornado devastation in Goderich. Subsequent and continuing heavy rainfall have made it impossible to restore the facility to usable condition in the near term with any assurance of success. Therefore the decision has been made to close the national track for the balance of the 2011 season.

We wish to thank participants, spectators, sponsors, suppliers, partners, fans, neighbours, staff and supporters for a remarkable anniversary 2011 season.  In particular we want to express our appreciation to Battlefield  Equipment Rentals, Scott , Lucas OIl, Steadymate, Municipality of Huron East, CKNX radio, McGavin Farm Supply and Blyth Printing for their ongoing support of all our events throughout the season.
