2011 season schedule – much more than just the TransCan GNC for entertainment and off-highway motorsports

WALTON, ON.CAN (May 19, 2010) – Although Mother Nature isn’t cooperating, the summer of 2011 is almost upon us and Walton Raceway is gearing up for its busiest summer ever. With events scheduled from the end of May until the end of September, Walton Raceway is going to be the place to be for two wheeled and four wheeled off road motorsports.

In the past Walton Raceway has only revolved around the famed Parts Canada TransCan, which traditionally takes place on the third weekend in August. Well for 2011, there are going to be many different events to help make Walton, Ontario a great place to visit.

Kicking off Walton Raceway’s busy summer will be the entertaining Truck Mud Bog on May 29th, with all of the rain we have had to endure; there will be no shortage of mud to keep everyone dirty and happy.

In keeping with the four wheeled theme, the CMRC ATV Provincial race will be the first to take to the main track on Saturday, June 4th. The following day the increasingly popular WEC Apex Cycle Enduro will wind its way around the Walton Raceway property, this event will give riders an opportunity to see every inch of the Lee’s rolling acreage. Just a week later on Sunday, June 12th The Thames Valley Riders will line up for their first race of the year at Walton Raceway.

With the following weekend being Father’s Day, Walton Raceway will be the perfect place to celebrate as it hosts the annual Walton Double Header CMRC Provincial on June 18th and 19th. With over 1000 entries expected, this event promises to be big and exciting for spectators and riders alike. This race will also be the last Amateur National Qualifier of 2011, which means it may be the final chance for South-Western riders to qualify for the 2011 Parts Canada TransCan at Walton Raceway.

To add to the nonstop action at Walton Raceway, the Steel City Riders get their chance to race on Sunday, June 26th. The second Mud Bog will be held on July 7th and then everyone gets a long break in anticipation for the final big event of the summer, the Parts Canada TransCan, taking place this year during the week of August 15-21.

To round out the season before summer break is over, Walton Raceway will host the two day CMRC ATV Provincial August 27th and 28th, followed by the ATV Mud Bog September 3rd and the Truck Mud Bog September 4th.

In the fall, Walton Raceway will welcome the always entertaining CMRC Vet National on September 10th followed by the CMRC Fall series race on September 11th and finally to close out another exciting year at Walton Raceway the Thames Valley Riders will host a club race on September 25th.

With so many different types of events throughout this coming season, there is something for everyone and many reasons to make Walton Raceway and Ontario’s West Coast one of your summer destinations. Whether you’re a fan of four wheels or two wheels, Walton Raceway will make your summer of 2011 unforgettable. We would like thank are Raceway sponsors Scott-Sports, Wiseco Performance and Lucas Oil for their continued support in the 2011 season.
