With sunshine in the forecast it looks as though Mother Nature has finally co-operated with us. In what promises to be a great weekend of racing at the famous and historical Walton Raceway, riders from all over Ontario and neighbouring States will take to the track this weekend. Not only is it round 4 of the Ontario Provincial Series and the final Ontario region ANQ, but it will be the only chance for riders to race on the main track before the Parts Canada TransCan in August.
Apex Cycle Sports of Waterloo and KTM Canada presents Round 4 of the 2011 CMRC Ontario Provincial Championship Motocross Series Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19 at Walton Raceway as well as the final Amateur National Qualifier for the southwestern Ontario region.
The Grand National Championship August 15-21 is a limited entry event which only accepts riders from across the country who have demonstrated their ability by placing in the top ranks of their respective regional qualifiers. In Southwestern Ontario only the top 11 riders in each class qualifier are guaranteed a starting gate position at the TransCan! More can get in, space permitting, but only the top 11 know for sure.
Both Saturday and Sunday will see a full schedule of racing and if you own a RC Car, be sure to bring it as there will be RC Car races on a specially built track throughout the weekend. Camping will be available on Friday so get there early to reserve your favourite spot in the pits. Summer looks to be finally here, so come out to Walton Raceway this weekend and enjoy some of the best racing Canada has to offer.
